HYDERABAD, INDIA – Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film, “Game Changer,” has failed to meet box office expectations, disappointing makers who invested a massive ₹450 crore (approximately $55 million USD) budget into the Telugu-language action film. Despite a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani and significant hype surrounding its release, the film’s earnings have fallen significantly short of projections.

The film, which features Charan in a double role, saw a considerable drop in collections on its second day. While “Game Changer” raked in ₹51 crore (approximately $6.2 million USD) on its opening day, its second-day collection plummeted to ₹21.5 crore (approximately $2.6 million USD). This includes ₹12.7 crore from Telugu audiences, ₹1.7 crore from Tamil, ₹7 crore from Hindi, and a mere ₹0.1 crore from Kannada audiences.

The film’s underwhelming performance is particularly striking when compared to Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2,” which earned ₹164.25 crore on its opening day and ₹93.8 crore on its second day. “Game Changer,” which reportedly spent ₹75 crore on music alone, has not only failed to compete with “Pushpa 2” but has significantly underperformed overall. Makers now face the challenge of recouping their substantial investment. The film’s performance over the weekend will be crucial in determining its overall success, with a further drop in earnings expected from Monday onwards.
