**Ayodhya, Jan 11, 2025:** The first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of the Ram Lalla deity at the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya was celebrated today with religious fervor. The celebrations, which began with the recitation of Yajurveda, included a grand afternoon aarti at 12:20 PM, followed by the offering of 56 different dishes to the deity. The Ram Lalla’s shrine was adorned with flowers.
The main ceremony commemorates the January 22nd, 2024, event, which saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance. This year, the anniversary falls on January 11th according to the Hindu Panchang. Three days of celebrations are planned at the temple, starting on January 11th and concluding on January 13th.
Across India, devotees marked the occasion with prayers, recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Raksha Stotra, Sundar Kand, and Maha Aarti. Homes and temples alike were lit with lamps to celebrate the auspicious day, which also coincided with five auspicious yogas according to the Hindu Panchang.
