**Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh/Delhi –** In a tragic turn of events, a couple in Ghaziabad died by suicide following a heated argument. Vijay Pratap Chauhan, 32, and his wife Shivani, 28, left behind a one-year-old daughter.

Police reported that the couple, residents of Jawahar Nagar, Ghaziabad, had a history of marital discord. On Friday evening, a fight ensued, leading Shivani to leave for northeast Delhi. Vijay subsequently called Shivani, allegedly telling her she would never see him again.

Shortly after this call, Vijay was found dead by his aunt, Meera, having hanged himself at their home. Meera immediately informed Shivani of the tragic news. Overwhelmed by grief, Shivani also took her own life, hanging herself from an electric pole near the Loni roundabout in Delhi.

Both Ghaziabad and Delhi Police are investigating the incident. Post-mortem examinations have been conducted on both bodies, and no suicide notes were found at either scene. Forensic teams examined both locations; police confirmed Shivani’s death was consistent with hanging and showed no signs of foul play.

The tragic incident highlights the devastating impact of marital discord and underscores the importance of seeking help for relationship difficulties and mental health issues.
