Fri Jan 10 18:39:18 UTC 2025: ## JEE Main 2025 Exam City Information Released
**NEW DELHI** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city information for the JEE Main Session 1, 2025 examination. Candidates can download their exam city intimation slips from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, using their application number and date of birth. The slip indicates the exam city and date.
The NTA emphasizes that this intimation slip is *not* the admit card. Admit cards will be released three days prior to the respective exam dates.
The JEE Main Paper 1 (for B.E./B.Tech) will be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2025, in two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. Paper 2 (for B.Arch and B.Planning) will be held on January 30, 2025, from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Final ranks will be determined based on the best NTA score from both sessions. Candidates achieving a rank within the top 250,000 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced, the entrance exam for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Eligibility for JEE Advanced also requires a minimum of 75% marks in the 12th standard or being among the top 20 percentile of candidates in their respective board exams.
JEE Main Paper 1 consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 90 questions total (30 questions per subject). A new exam pattern reduces Section B numerical questions from 10 to 5, all of which are compulsory. Paper 2 assesses aptitude for B.Arch and B.Planning programs.
This year’s ranking system will prioritize exam performance. In case of ties, the candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will receive the higher rank. If the tie persists, Physics and then Chemistry marks will be considered, followed by the ratio of correct to incorrect answers. Only if all these are identical will candidates receive the same rank.
