**Mumbai, India** – Actor Sonu Sood’s directorial debut, the action thriller “Fateh,” opened in theaters on Friday to a positive response from audiences, though its box office performance remains modest. “Fateh,” produced by Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, holds its own against the more widely released Telugu action film “Game Changer,” starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. The film features an international crew, including the director of photography, research team, and action choreographers.
The film, inspired by real-life cybercrimes during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been praised for its action sequences and international production quality. Reviews highlight Sood’s performance as the anchor of the film and the impressive action sequences.
Sood himself stated that the film is a story about the common man, inspired by his experiences assisting victims of cybercrime during the pandemic. To make the film accessible, tickets were priced at ₹99 for the first day, and Sood has pledged to donate all profits to charity.
