Sat Jan 11 06:49:00 UTC 2025: ## BJP Launches Scathing Attack on Kejriwal Ahead of Delhi Elections

**New Delhi, January 11, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified its campaign against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, releasing a song and poster targeting his alleged corruption. The materials focus on the “Sheesh Mahal,” a nickname the BJP uses for Kejriwal’s former residence, 6 Flagstaff Road, accusing him of lavish spending at taxpayers’ expense.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva unveiled the song, titled “Sheesh Mahal Aapda Failane Walon Ka Adda” (Sheesh Mahal, the Den of Disaster Makers), and a poster depicting Kejriwal in Mughal attire, labeled “Aapda-e-Azam” (The Greatest Disaster). Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal for allegedly prioritizing personal luxury over the needs of Delhi’s citizens.

The AAP responded by highlighting the BJP’s own spending, citing the costs associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence and travel. The escalating war of words comes just weeks before the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5th. The BJP’s recent campaign events, including a rally by Prime Minister Modi, have also focused heavily on this issue, framing Kejriwal and the AAP as a “disaster” for Delhi. The upcoming election is expected to be fiercely contested.
