Sat Jan 11 14:02:59 UTC 2025: ## ‘Game Changer’ Explodes at the Box Office: Ram Charan Starrer Earns Over ₹50 Crore on Opening Day
**MUMBAI, INDIA** – The highly anticipated Telugu film “Game Changer,” starring South Indian superstar Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has had a phenomenal opening day at the box office, raking in over ₹50 crore (approximately $6 million USD). The film, made on a budget of approximately ₹450 crore (approximately $54 million USD), is expected to recoup more than half its production cost within the first weekend.
The film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, generated immense buzz even before its release, with the trailer further amplifying anticipation among fans. The Telugu version has seen the strongest response, followed by significant contributions from Tamil and Hindi versions. According to figures released by Sacnilk, a platform that tracks box office collections, the film earned ₹51.25 crore on its opening day (Friday). Positive reviews suggest the box office numbers will increase further on Saturday.
“Game Changer,” released in five languages, garnered ₹42 crore from the Telugu version alone, ₹2.1 crore from the Tamil version, and approximately ₹7 crore from the Hindi version. The Kannada and Malayalam versions contributed ₹10 lakh and ₹50 lakh respectively. The film’s music, composed by star music director S. Thaman, is expected to give tough competition to other box office contenders, “Baby John” and “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”
While “Pushpa 2” continues its run at the box office, “Baby John” has failed to impress audiences and has seen declining collections. In stark contrast to “Game Changer’s” ₹51 crore opening day, “Baby John” reportedly earned only a few lakhs on Friday. “Pushpa 2’s” earnings are also reportedly showing a downward trend.
