**Mysuru, Karnataka, January 11, 2025** – The city of Mysuru is buzzing with anticipation as it prepares for the upcoming Bahuroopi National Theatre Festival. The festival, organized by Rangayana, kicked off Saturday with a series of vibrant street plays across various locations.
MCC Commissioner Ashaad-Ur-Rahman Shariff inaugurated the street play performances at Chikka Gadiyara Circle. The performances, which continued throughout the weekend, will continue in different parts of Mysuru and its surrounding areas throughout the week.
The street plays serve as a prelude to the main festival, set to commence on January 14th at Rangayana. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the event, with other dignitaries inaugurating accompanying events including Rangotsava, a book and handicrafts expo, and a painting expo. The festival promises a rich tapestry of theatrical performances and cultural exhibitions.
