Sat Jan 11 09:44:51 IST 2025: ## “Fateh” Defies Expectations with Strong Opening Despite ₹99 Ticket Price, While “Game Changer” Dominates Box Office

**Mumbai, January 11** – While Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” roared onto the box office, raking in over ₹50 crore on its opening day, another film defied expectations with a surprisingly strong debut. Sonu Sood’s “Fateh,” which offered tickets for a mere ₹99, collected ₹2.45 crore on its opening day – a feat many big-budget films fail to achieve.

“Game Changer,” released on January 10th, dominated the box office, achieving a phenomenal opening of ₹51.25 crore across different languages in India. The film’s collection includes ₹42 crore from Telugu, ₹2.1 crore from Tamil, ₹7 crore from Hindi, ₹1 lakh from Kannada, and ₹5 lakh from Malayalam. However, the film, with a reported budget of ₹350 crore, still has a long way to go to recoup its investment.

In contrast, “Fateh,” starring Sonu Sood, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Naseeruddin Shah, tells the story of a retired special operations officer who is drawn back into the world of crime to rescue a girl from a cybercrime syndicate. Despite its low ticket price, the film’s impressive opening day earnings demonstrate its audience appeal. The film’s budget is estimated at ₹25 crore.

The success of “Fateh” highlights the power of strong content and strategic marketing, proving that a lower ticket price doesn’t necessarily equate to lower box office returns. Both films, though drastically different in scale and budget, have made a mark on the opening day of their respective releases.
