**Madurai, January 10, 2025** – Water levels in key Tamil Nadu dams remain stable, according to the latest reports. The Mullaperiyar dam registered a level of 124.20 feet (maximum permissible 142 feet) on Friday, with a higher discharge (1,100 cusecs) than inflow (192 cusecs). The Vaigai dam level stood at 64.85 feet (full capacity 71 feet), with an inflow of 731 cusecs and a discharge of 1,219 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was reported at 5,438.86. These figures suggest a controlled release of water from both dams.
