**Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, January 10, 2025** – Thousands of devotees flocked to Perumal temples across Dindigul district on Friday to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi. The celebrations reached a peak at the Sri Soundararaja Perumal Temple in Thadikombu, where the presiding deity, adorned in jewels and garlands, was taken in a procession through the Paramapada Vasal (heavenly gate) at approximately 5 a.m.
Devotees chanted hymns and waited patiently in long queues for a darshan (glimpse) of the deity as it passed through the sacred gate. Temple authorities made elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for the large number of pilgrims. The event was marked by immense religious fervor and participation from across the district.
