**New Delhi, January 10, 2025** – Low-cost carrier SpiceJet announced today that it will return 10 more aircraft to service by mid-April. This follows a recent ₹3,000 crore Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) that has already enabled the airline to add 7 aircraft and restore 3 previously grounded planes. The airline’s active fleet has thus grown to 28 aircraft, resulting in an increase of 60 flights over the past three months. At the time of the QIP, SpiceJet had a significant number of grounded aircraft (36 out of 54). This expansion signifies a substantial recovery for the airline.
