**SIVASAGAR, ASSAM – January 10, 2025** – Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has significantly enhanced its emergency medical services in Assam with the addition of 65 new ambulances to its fleet. The vehicles, leased from the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) for a five-year period, were deployed on January 9th, 2025.

The fleet expansion includes 63 standard ambulances equipped with foldable seats, autoloader stretchers, and provisions for oxygen cylinders. Two advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, equipped with ventilators, defibrillators, suction pumps, and advanced oxygen delivery systems, will be strategically located at ONGC Hospital in Sivasagar and its Nazira dispensary to provide rapid response to critical situations.

The new ambulances will be deployed across ONGC Assam Asset’s operational sites, including drilling locations, workover rigs, and production installations. This expansion demonstrates ONGC’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its employees and stakeholders, according to Executive Director Bhaskar Chowdary Nettem. He stated that ensuring safety and security is integral to the company’s mission.

In a separate initiative, ONGC also allocated 372 light motor vehicles to local youths through a lottery-based tendering process.
