**Mangaluru, January 10, 2025** – A day-long Hindustani classical music festival will be held at the Vivekananda auditorium of Ramakrishna Mutt in Mangaluru on Sunday, January 12th. The event, a collaboration between the Chitranthana Charitable Trust, Sapthak (Bengaluru), and the ITC Sangeet Research Academy (Mumbai), will feature a stellar lineup of renowned vocalists and instrumentalists.
The festival, running from 9:50 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., will showcase performances by several acclaimed artists. The program includes vocal concerts by Shatavisha Mukherjee (disciple of Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar), Brajeswar Mukherjee (disciple of Ajoy Chakrabarty), Dhananjay Hegde, and Vidhushi Manjusha Kulkarni Patil. The festival will culminate with a highly anticipated sitar recital by the celebrated Ustad Shahid Parvez, accompanied by Pandit Mukesh Jadhav on the tabla. Each vocalist will be supported by accomplished tabla and samvadini players.
