Fri Jan 10 14:55:03 UTC 2025: ## NTK Coordinator Seeman Faces Two FIRs Over Periyar Remarks
**TIRUNELVELI, January 10, 2025** – Nationalist Tamil Party (NTK) coordinator Seeman is facing two First Information Reports (FIRs) filed in Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts for allegedly making controversial remarks against social reformer E. V. Ramasamy Periyar.
A complaint was lodged by Dravidar Kazhagam district secretary Velmurugan in Thatchanallur on Thursday, following Seeman’s alleged derogatory comments. The Thatchanallur police registered a case on Friday under sections 192 and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, pertaining to provocation and intentional insult leading to breach of public peace.
A separate complaint was filed by Tenkasi district secretary Anbarasu with Paavoorchathram police, who also registered a case against Seeman. Further details regarding the nature of the remarks and the ongoing investigation are awaited.
