Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – The Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education team, comprised of M. Naresh Kumar and K. Sriram, emerged victorious in The Hindu FIC and IPE College Quiz held on December 8th at V.R. Siddhartha-Deemed to be University in Vijayawada. Over 525 students from 25 institutions across Andhra Pradesh participated in the competition.
The quiz, known for its challenging questions, saw a thrilling final round. Among the tough questions posed by quizmaster Gautam Bose was, “What is the popular name for the Colobopsis explodens ant, known for its self-sacrificing defense mechanism?” The intense competition culminated in a jubilant celebration by the winning team.
P.V.P. Siddhartha Institute of Technology’s team secured the first runner-up position, while another Siddhartha Academy team took second runner-up. The remaining finalists – from Dhanekula Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sarat Chandra IAS Academy, and RVR & JC College of Engineering – received consolation prizes.
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, and representatives from The Hindu. The success of the quiz highlights the growing interest in intellectual competitions amongst students in the region.
