**Thrissur, Kerala –** Veteran playback singer P. Jayachandran, affectionately known as the “Bhava Gayakan” (Singer of Emotions), passed away on January 9th at the age of 80. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Thrissur, where he was undergoing treatment.

Jayachandran, a titan of Indian music, enjoyed a career spanning over six decades. His rich, emotive voice graced over 16,000 songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, captivating audiences across generations.
