**New Delhi, January 9, 2025** – Union Home Minister Amit Shah today urged the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) to expand its projects, studies, and publications globally to improve the public perception of police forces. He stressed the need for collaboration with international institutions and diverse stakeholders to enhance research efforts.
During a review of the BPR&D’s work, Mr. Shah highlighted the importance of grassroots-level research to identify and address policing challenges. He emphasized the BPR&D’s crucial role as the liaison between the Home Ministry and all state police forces, particularly in implementing new criminal laws.
