**Cleveland, OH** – The Cleveland Browns have announced the hiring of Mike Bloomgren as their new offensive line coach. Bloomgren brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as a head coach at the collegiate level and held various offensive coaching positions in the NFL, most notably with the New York Jets.

Bloomgren spent seven seasons as head coach at Rice University, leading the Owls to consecutive bowl appearances in 2022 and 2023. Prior to Rice, he held coaching positions at Stanford University, where he mentored future NFL stars Andrew Luck and Christian McCaffrey, and helped develop numerous NFL draft picks and All-Americans. His NFL experience includes stints with the Jets under coaches Brian Schottenheimer, Bill Callahan, and Rex Ryan, where he contributed to an 11-5 season in 2010.

Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski praised Bloomgren’s teaching abilities and motivational skills, stating that these qualities are crucial for the team’s offensive line room. Bloomgren himself expressed excitement about joining the organization and working with the Browns’ established talent, including Pro Bowlers Joel Bitonio and Jack Conklin.
