**CHAPEL HILL, NC** – After a 37-year hiatus, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels (9-6, 2-1 ACC) will renew their rivalry with the SMU Mustangs (11-3, 2-1) on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on the ACC Network. The game marks the first meeting between the two teams since Dean Smith coached the Tar Heels.

UNC holds a 2-1 series advantage, including a 90-74 victory in 1987. Coming off a narrow win against Notre Dame, the Tar Heels aim to hand SMU their second consecutive loss to an ACC opponent after their defeat to Duke.
