**Chennai, January 7, 2025** – Justice N. Seshasayee, a Madras High Court judge, concluded his two-decade career on Tuesday with a uniquely worded final judgment, likening his role to that of an umpire in a cricket match. In his dismissal of a writ petition filed by Cheran Enterprises Private Limited, Justice Seshasayee penned a reflective and metaphorical opinion.
He described the case as the “final match of the series” between the petitioner and respondents, ultimately declaring the petitioner’s loss.
