Tue Jan 07 20:16:59 UTC 2025: ## NVIDIA Unveils Project DIGITS: A Personal AI Supercomputer

**Las Vegas, NV – January 6, 2025** – NVIDIA today announced Project DIGITS, a personal AI supercomputer designed to empower AI developers and researchers with unprecedented access to high-performance computing. Showcased at CES 2025 by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Project DIGITS represents a significant leap towards democratizing AI development by bringing powerful capabilities directly to individual users’ desktops.

The system, based on a Linux operating system and powered by NVIDIA’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, combines an Arm-powered Grace CPU and a Blackwell GPU. This architecture delivers up to one petaflop of AI computing performance at FP4 precision, enabling developers to work with large AI models (up to 200 billion parameters) for prototyping, fine-tuning, and inferencing. The Arm-based CPU, featuring Arm Cortex-X925 and Cortex-A725 cores, enhances efficiency and speed, particularly crucial for edge computing applications.

Project DIGITS integrates seamlessly with NVIDIA’s AI software ecosystem, providing access to a vast library of tools, libraries, frameworks, and models through the NVIDIA NGC catalog and Developer portal. This fully integrated hardware and software platform ensures a streamlined development experience. The system’s compatibility with Arm’s ubiquitous platform fosters greater efficiency and wider accessibility within the existing developer community (over 20 million strong).

“Our collaboration with Arm on the GB10 Superchip will fuel the next generation of innovation in AI,” said Ashish Karandikar, VP of SoC Products at NVIDIA. “Project DIGITS puts a powerful supercomputer at every AI developer and researcher’s fingertips.” The announcement highlights the growing importance of edge computing in AI and promises to accelerate the development and deployment of AI applications across various sectors.
