**MUMBAI** – Actress Wamiqa Gabbi, known for her role in “Baby John,” has joined the cast of the highly anticipated spy thriller “G2,” the sequel to the 2018 hit “Goodachari.” Gabbi will star opposite Adivi Sesh in the pan-Indian film, which also features Emraan Hashmi.
The news was announced via a first-look poster shared by Gabbi on Instagram, showing her and Sesh in stylish black attire. The poster declared Gabbi’s character as “Agent 116.” Gabbi expressed her excitement about the project, calling it a “kick-ass” collaboration and expressing anticipation for working with Hashmi. A teaser glimpse is promised by the end of this month.
“G2,” directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, is a joint production by People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainment. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Supriya Yarlagadda, Madhu Shalini, and Murali Sharma. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Gabbi stated that she is “thrilled” to be part of such a high-profile project, acknowledging the challenge of living up to the success of the original film.
