**STATE COLLEGE, PA** – A piece of Penn State football history was demolished Saturday morning. The Beaver Stadium press box, a fixture since the stadium’s opening in 1960, was taken down as part of ongoing renovations. A portion of the original structure had been salvaged from the previous Beaver Field.
The demolition comes as the Nittany Lions prepare for their College Football Playoff semifinal matchup against Notre Dame on January 9th at the Orange Bowl in Miami. While the team focuses on their upcoming game, the stadium undergoes a significant transformation.
