**New York, NY** – The New York Rangers have bolstered their forward ranks, claiming 23-year-old Arthur Kaliyev off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings, President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today.

Kaliyev, a Staten Island native originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, brings a proven offensive touch to the Rangers. The 6’2”, 210-pound right winger also has experience in the AHL, tallying 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in 45 games with the Ontario Reign.

Before his professional career, Kaliyev showcased his offensive talent in the OHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs, exploding for 98 points (44 goals, 54 assists) in 57 games during the 2019-20 season. This performance earned him the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy as the league’s top-scoring right winger and a nomination for the Red Tilson Trophy as the OHL’s Most Outstanding Player. He also represented the United States at the World Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in 2021.

Originally a second-round pick (33rd overall) of the Kings in the 2019 NHL Draft, Kaliyev now looks to make an impact with the Rangers. The team hopes his offensive capabilities will provide a boost to their lineup.
