**Las Vegas, NV – January 2025** – NVIDIA today announced the GeForce RTX 50 Series, its most advanced consumer GPUs to date. Powered by the new Blackwell architecture, these GPUs promise a significant leap in performance for gamers, creators, and developers, leveraging the power of AI for unprecedented realism and speed.

The flagship GeForce RTX 5090 boasts 92 billion transistors and delivers over 3,352 trillion AI operations per second (TOPS), offering up to 2x the performance of its predecessor, the RTX 4090. This boost is driven by Blackwell’s innovations and the new DLSS 4 technology, which utilizes Multi-Frame Generation to increase frame rates by up to 8x through AI-generated frames. DLSS 4 also introduces a transformer model architecture for enhanced image quality.

Blackwell’s AI capabilities extend beyond performance enhancements. RTX Neural Shaders bring AI networks into programmable shaders, enabling real-time rendering of film-quality materials and lighting. RTX Neural Faces, coupled with new technologies for ray-traced hair and skin and RTX Mega Geometry, promises a massive increase in the realism of digital humans and environments.
