Mon Jan 06 19:23:16 IST 2025: ## Kohli and Rohit to Return for India’s ODI Series Against England; Bumrah’s Participation Uncertain

**Mumbai, India –** Despite recent speculation about their Test futures, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will lead India’s charge in the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, starting February 6th. This confirmation comes from reports citing the Ajit Agarkar-led BCCI selection committee. The series marks India’s final 50-over assignment before the ICC Champions Trophy.

However, the participation of star pacer Jasprit Bumrah remains uncertain. Bumrah suffered a back injury during the recent Test series against Australia and, while his inclusion isn’t ruled out, the selection committee is prioritizing his workload management. He will likely be rested to prevent further injury. The extent of his back problem is still being assessed. Bumrah’s absence will not allow India further opportunity to prepare him in the 50-over format ahead of the Champions Trophy.

The ODI series will be played in Nagpur (February 6th), Cuttack (February 9th), and Ahmedabad (February 12th). Meanwhile, India’s T20I series against England begins on January 22nd, but neither Kohli nor Rohit, having retired from the T20I format, nor Bumrah are expected to feature.
