**Bogalusa, LA –** Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong was arrested Tuesday morning along with six others in a sweeping drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Louisiana State Police. The arrests stem from a months-long investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating within the city.

According to Louisiana State Police, the investigation, launched in April, uncovered a network distributing opioids, high-grade marijuana, THC products, and MDMA. The organization allegedly used social media for transactions, with some proceeds used to purchase firearms. Police say some of these weapons were provided to individuals prohibited from owning them and others linked to violent crimes in Bogalusa.

Mayor Truong faces charges including unauthorized use of a movable. The six other individuals arrested – MacKenzie Lynn Cefalu (24), De-Saleem Wali Pittman (24), Dirul S. Pittman (22), Salehal-Dien Malike Pittman (26), Tonya Renee Stage (51), and Devan Michael Williams (28) – face various unspecified charges related to the drug trafficking and prostitution operation. All suspects were booked into the Washington Parish jail.
