NEW DELHI – India’s economic growth is expected to decelerate to 6.4 percent in the fiscal year 2024-25, according to the National Statistical Office (NSO). This represents a significant slowdown from the 8.2 percent growth recorded in the previous fiscal year (2023-24). The NSO’s advance estimates, released Tuesday, fall slightly below the Reserve Bank of India’s recent projection of 6.6 percent growth for the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.
