Tue Jan 07 13:56:58 UTC 2025: ## Dhankhar Condemns VIP Culture, Calls for Unity in Developing India

**Dharmasthala, Karnataka:** Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today launched India’s largest temple queue complex, “Shri Saanidhya,” at the Sri Manjunatha Temple, while strongly condemning the VIP culture and urging national unity. He described VIP darshan as an “aberration” that contradicts the principles of equality and has no place in society, particularly religious spaces.

Dhankhar also voiced concern over the rising tide of political disruption, characterizing it as a greater threat to India than climate change. He called for a rejection of divisive forces and a renewed focus on national development, emphasizing the need to counter misinformation and those seeking to weaken the nation.

The Vice President proposed a “Panch Pran” (five principles) for a vibrant India: social harmony, strengthened family values, environmental protection, and upholding fundamental rights coupled with fundamental duties. He urged Indian corporations to utilize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for health and education initiatives.

The newly launched queue complex at the Sri Manjunatha Temple, covering 275,177 square feet, can accommodate 10,000-12,000 devotees simultaneously. Dhankhar also inaugurated a scholarship program, the “Jnana Deepa Project,” for rural students under the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP). He praised the temple trust’s commitment to modernizing devotee infrastructure.
