CHICAGO, IL – The Chicago Bears have requested permission to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken for their vacant head coaching position, NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported. Monken, 58, brings extensive experience to the table, having coached at various levels since 1989, including stints as an offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers, Browns, and now the Ravens.

Monken’s resume boasts a successful 2024 season with the Ravens, where the team led the league in total yards and rushing yards, while ranking third in points scored and seventh in passing yards. His NFL career began in 2007 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he also served as head coach at Southern Miss before returning to the NFL. He was previously let go by the Browns along with the rest of the coaching staff in 2019.

The Bears’ interview request adds Monken to a growing list of candidates vying for the head coaching job. The team is expected to conduct a thorough search before making a final decision.
