**Chennai, January 6, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu Assembly will hold a special session on Tuesday, January 7th, to adopt condolence resolutions for the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress legislator E.V.K.S. Elangovan. Following the obituary references and adoption of the resolutions, the House is expected to adjourn for the day.

The debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s Address will begin on Wednesday, January 8th, and continue for two days. The reply to the debate is scheduled for Saturday, January 11th, along with any bill discussions. This schedule was decided at a meeting of the Assembly’s Business Advisory Committee.
