**Auckland, New Zealand** – Sumit Nagal, India’s top-ranked singles player, has secured a place in the main draw of the ATP 250 ASB Classic in Auckland after a hard-fought victory over higher-ranked opponent Adrian Mannarino. The 26-year-old, currently ranked 98th in the world, defeated the world number 66 Frenchman in straight sets, 7-6(5), 6-3, in the final qualifying round on Sunday.

Nagal’s win marks a significant turnaround after a period of inconsistent form that saw him exit several tournaments early.
