Sun Jan 05 23:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana CM Calls for Joint Andhra Pradesh-Telangana Global Growth

**Hyderabad, January 6, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged for a collaborative approach between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to achieve global competitiveness, rather than viewing each other as rivals. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad, Reddy emphasized the need for a shift in mindset, advocating for joint development initiatives to establish both states as global models of success.

Reddy acknowledged existing issues between the two states but proposed dialogue and discussion as a means to resolve them. He drew a parallel to international conflict resolution, suggesting that open communication could overcome internal disagreements.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significant contributions of Telugu people in IT and pharmaceuticals, noting that Hyderabad-based companies produce 35% of India’s bulk drugs. He lauded the role of previous leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy in building upon the foundation laid by Rajiv Gandhi, transforming Hyderabad’s IT sector. He further announced Telangana’s ambitious plan to construct a state-of-the-art “Fourth City” spanning 30,000 acres near the international airport.

Reddy also expressed concern over the diminishing influence of Telugu leaders in national politics, despite the significant global Telugu population. While praising the success of Telugu cinema, which he described as competing with Hollywood, he urged Telugus worldwide to invest in Telangana’s development, promising a single-window clearance system for approvals. He concluded by emphasizing the importance of the Telugu language and culture. The government, he added, would strive to publish official orders in Telugu as far as possible. The event also saw the launch of a new book, “Telugu Danam – Telugu Dhanam,” and several prominent Telugu film personalities were honored.
