Sun Jan 05 23:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana CM Unveils Vision 2050, Plans ‘Future City’ to Rival Global Hubs
**Hyderabad, India** – Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a new development plan, “Vision 2050,” aiming to propel the state’s growth over the next 25 years under the slogan “Telangana Rising.” A key component of this vision is the creation of a “Future City,” spanning 30,000 acres, designed to compete with major global cities like New York and Tokyo. The city will focus on technological and industrial advancement.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad, Reddy emphasized the need for Telugu people across the globe to collaborate for progress. He noted that despite the large Telugu-speaking population, their influence on national politics remains relatively limited, urging reflection on the reasons behind this.
Reddy highlighted the contributions of previous leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy to Hyderabad’s development, crediting them with fostering its IT and pharmaceutical sectors. He underscored Telangana’s current economic strength, with Hyderabad contributing 65% of the state’s revenue.
The Chief Minister also announced plans for new airports in Warangal, Ramagundam, Adilabad, and Bhadrachalam, along with the development of a regional ring road and a dry port, further accelerating Telangana’s infrastructural growth. He invited Telugu industrialists from across the country and the world to invest in Telangana, promising a single-window clearance system for industrial approvals. Reddy also advocated for stronger collaboration between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, suggesting that joint efforts would be more effective than individual competition in achieving global competitiveness. He stressed the importance of preserving the Telugu language, citing the recent issuance of a farmer loan waiver order in Telugu as an example of government commitment to the language’s use in official matters. The government will review suggestions from the conference and implement feasible recommendations through the education commission.
