**NEW DELHI –** A 22-year-old man, Nasir Khan, is recovering after being shot in the neck in the Sangam Vihar area of south Delhi on Sunday evening. Police have detained two suspects, Sohail (22) and Rahul (24), in connection with the incident.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 8:30 pm. Khan was immediately taken to a hospital and is reportedly out of danger. His brother-in-law, Asif Khan, witnessed the event. Khan’s father alleges the suspects had a long-standing dispute with the family.
The suspects, who sustained injuries after being beaten by bystanders, were apprehended at the hospital. Sohail, an electrician from Tughlakabad Extension, and Rahul, a Sangam Vihar resident, both have prior criminal records.
Police investigations indicate the shooting stemmed from a long-standing personal dispute between the victim and the suspects. Authorities are exploring all avenues, including the possibility of further involvement. The incident is believed to be an escalation of pre-existing enmity.
