Mon Jan 06 02:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Nagar Kirtan Marks the Beginning of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Prakash Parv Celebrations in Machhiwara Sahib

**MACHHIWARA SAHIB, PUNJAB** – A grand Nagar Kirtan procession was held today in Machhiwara Sahib, a significant site associated with Guru Gobind Singh Ji, to mark the beginning of the celebrations for his Prakash Parv (birth anniversary). The procession, which started from the historic Gurdwara Sri Charan Kamal Sahib, concluded at the same Gurdwara after visiting other significant Gurdwaras in the area, including Gurdwara Sri Chubara Sahib and Gurdwara Bhai Ghani Khan Nabi Khan.

The Nagar Kirtan featured devotional singing by women from the Mata Hardei Stri Satsang Sabha and was met with enthusiastic welcomes along the route, including decorative gates and community langars (free kitchens). Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Parmjit Singh was among the prominent attendees.

Gurdwara manager Jasvir Singh Mangli announced that the Prakash Parv will be celebrated with great fervor on January 6th. Several other dignitaries, including Jaspal Singh Jaj, Amandeep Singh Taneja, Jagdish Singh Barar, Baljinder Singh Toor, Upjinder Singh Aujla, and Amrinder Singh, were also present at the event.
