Sun Jan 05 15:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Longtime Philadelphia Sports Radio Host Howard Eskin Out After Physical Altercation

**Philadelphia, PA** – Veteran sports radio host Howard Eskin is no longer affiliated with WIP-FM (94.1) following a physical altercation at a Philadelphia restaurant. Sources close to the situation confirmed that Eskin, 73, was involved in a confrontation with an Audacy employee (WIP’s parent company) at Chickie’s & Pete’s on December 9th.

The incident, which occurred after a remote broadcast with Philadelphia Eagles player Brandon Graham, began as a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Eskin allegedly grabbed the employee after she attempted to leave the scene following his outburst. Witnesses at the restaurant reported the altercation created a significant disturbance.

This incident marks the latest in a series of controversies for Eskin. Five months prior, he was banned from Citizens Bank Park by the Philadelphia Phillies after an Aramark employee accused him of an unwanted kiss. Eskin subsequently apologized on air. He was also previously banned by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Eskin, a prominent figure in Philadelphia sports media for nearly four decades, announced his departure from WIP on December 20th. Audacy stated that the two parties had “parted ways.” His departure came after he was denied media access to the Eagles’ NovaCare Complex on the day of his announcement.

Eskin’s replacement, Devan Kaney, took over sideline reporting duties for the Eagles game against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. While Eskin attended the game, he watched from the stands. He currently has no affiliation with any other media outlet.
