Sun Jan 05 06:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh to Resume Land Resurvey

**VIJAYAWADA, January 3, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh government will restart its land resurvey on January 20th, Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad announced Friday. The resurvey, following a regional revenue conference in Mangalagiri, will be conducted systematically, village by village, with participation from public representatives and officials. New Pattadar passbooks, including longitude, latitude, and QR codes, will be issued to farmers.

The Minister acknowledged shortcomings in a previous resurvey, citing errors that led to a surge in land disputes, particularly concerning 22A land issues. He emphasized the need for swift resolution of these issues and expressed concern over public dissatisfaction with the department’s performance. He noted that even after grievances are supposedly resolved, many remain unsatisfied.

Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) R.P. Sisodia echoed these concerns, stating that the Revenue Department requires significant improvement, characterizing its current state as ineffective.

The conference, attended by Collectors and Joint Collectors from 12 districts, also saw discussion on challenges related to inam lands, estate lands, house site regularization, and 22A land disputes.
