VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh – A three-day Poly Techfest will be held in Vijayawada from January 6th to 8th, 2025, showcasing innovative projects from polytechnic students across the state. The event, part of the Skill Andhra Pradesh Programme, aims to foster innovation and scientific thinking among students.
The fest will feature 249 shortlisted projects, selected from 1,302 entries showcased at regional tech fests held across Andhra Pradesh in December 2024. Winners of the regional competitions received cash prizes of ₹25,000 and ₹10,000 for first and second place, respectively. At the state level, the first, second, and third place prizes are ₹1 lakh, ₹50,000, and ₹25,000, respectively.
The inauguration will take place on January 6th, with Kona Sashidhar, Principal Secretary, Department of Skill Development, and G. Ganesh Kumar, Director of Technical Education, presiding. Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Human Resource Development, Nara Lokesh, will be the chief guest on January 7th. The event will be held at the S.S. Convention hall in Vijayawada.
