Sat Jan 04 05:50:51 UTC 2025: ## UP Police Sub-Inspector Killed in Delhi Hit-and-Run
**New Delhi, January 4, 2025** – A 47-year-old Uttar Pradesh Police sub-inspector, Pradeep Kumar, was killed in an alleged hit-and-run incident on Friday night at the Telco T-point flyover in east Delhi. Police responded to the accident report at 10:35 p.m.
Kumar, a resident of Trilokpuri, Delhi, and stationed at a traffic circle in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was riding his motorcycle when the incident occurred. He was traveling towards National Highway 24 from Anand Vihar ISBT when he was struck. He died at the scene.
Investigators believe the incident was a hit-and-run. A fragment of a yellow number plate, presumably from a commercial vehicle, was recovered from the accident site. Police have formed multiple teams to analyze CCTV footage and identify the vehicle responsible. The investigation is ongoing.
