**Panaji, Goa – January 4, 2025** – The Goa unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has submitted a list of seven candidates to party leadership in Delhi for the position of state president. The announcement is expected later this month, according to a senior party leader.
The shortlist includes three former state ministers – Dayanand Mandrekar, Dilip Parulekar, and former Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar – as well as former Lok Sabha member Narendra Sawaikar. Former MLAs Dayanand Sopte and Damu Naik, along with senior party leader Govind Parvatkar, also feature on the list. The current state BJP president’s term is expiring, creating the vacancy. The new president’s selection will be finalized in Delhi.
