RENO, NV – High winds battered Northern Nevada on Friday, causing damage in at least one area. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the region, in effect until 7 p.m. A viewer, Michael Nerenberg, submitted photos depicting a tree downed by the strong winds on Anchor Point Drive in Stead. The advisory urges residents to remain aware of potential hazards associated with the high winds.
