**Purnea, Bihar, January 4, 2025** – Shushil Mochi, a notorious gangster with a ₹2 lakh bounty on his head, was killed in a police encounter in Bihar’s Purnea district on Saturday. Mochi, wanted by police in Bihar and West Bengal for multiple dacoity cases, was tracked by the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) for several days.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the STF and district police confronted Mochi in the Baysi area on Friday night. He attempted to flee and opened fire on the officers, prompting a return of fire that resulted in his death, according to SDPO Aditya Kumar. The encounter concluded with Mochi killed at the scene.
