**Hyderabad, January 4, 2025** – A severe cold wave continues to grip Telangana, with temperatures plummeting across the state. Data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) reveals that 15 of the state’s 33 districts recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C on Saturday.

Sangareddy shivered through the coldest temperatures, reaching a bone-chilling 6°C. Kumaram Bheem Asifabad (6.1°C), Adilabad (6.2°C), Kamareddy (6.8°C), and Rangareddy (6.8°C) also experienced exceptionally low temperatures. Several other districts reported minimum temperatures between 7°C and 10°C.

Even districts with temperatures above 10°C reported chilly conditions. Hyderabad, the state capital, recorded a minimum temperature of 11.8°C.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a two-day cold wave warning on January 3 for several districts, including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, and Nirmal, predicting that cold wave conditions would likely persist in isolated pockets.
