**Thiruvananthapuram, January 2, 2025** – Significant traffic restrictions will be in place in Thiruvananthapuram from January 4th to 8th due to the State School Arts Festival. Authorities have announced a comprehensive parking and traffic management plan to accommodate the large influx of participants, teachers, and spectators.

East Fort will see the most significant disruption, with all KSRTC and private bus services prohibited on the stretch between East Fort and the Pazhavangady Ganapathi temple. Buses will be rerouted via Attakulangara, Vettimurichakotta, and Fort, utilizing designated parking centers.

Attendees attending the festival inauguration at Central Stadium on Saturday are advised to disembark near Secretariat Gate 2. Larger vehicles should park at the Attukal temple and Poojappura grounds, while smaller vehicles will be directed to designated areas including Pulimoodu to Ayurveda College, the road from Ayurveda College to Kunnumpuram, around University Senate hall, and the Sanskrit College parking ground. Parking near the Secretariat and Central Stadium will be strictly prohibited and vehicles found violating this will be towed.

A detailed parking plan is also in place for the duration of the festival, with specific parking locations assigned for vehicles transporting participants, school buses, and those belonging to officials and parents. Vehicles are urged to adhere to designated parking areas to avoid congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow. Authorities emphasize that no parking will be allowed on nearby roads or bylanes where parking spaces are limited.
