**MUMBAI, January 2, 2025** – Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa: The Rule* continues its box office dominance, experiencing a remarkable 70% surge in earnings on New Year’s Day, January 1st. The film raked in ₹13.15 crore (approximately $1.6 million USD), bringing its 28-day total to a staggering ₹1,184.65 crore (approximately $143 million USD) in net collections within India.
Despite stiff competition from several new releases including *Mufasa*, *Max*, *Marco*, *Vanvaas*, and *Baby John*, *Pushpa 2* maintains its momentum. Its Hindi version alone contributed a significant ₹9.5 crore (approximately $1.15 million USD) to the day’s earnings, highlighting the film’s pan-India appeal. The Hindi version has already amassed ₹774.65 crore (approximately $93 million USD), surpassing its Telugu counterpart’s ₹330.53 crore (approximately $40 million USD).
While Monday saw a significant drop in earnings, the film rebounded strongly on Tuesday and Wednesday. The film’s total gross collection, including overseas earnings, currently stands at ₹1,663 crore (approximately $200 million USD), according to Sacnilk. While Mythri Movie Makers reported the film crossed ₹1,700 crore (approximately $205 million USD) on December 26th, it still trails behind *Baahubali 2* and *Dangal* in overall gross revenue. Despite this, *Pushpa 2* is currently the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
The film’s success is attributed to its strong performance across languages: Telugu (₹330.53 crore), Hindi (₹774.65 crore), Tamil (₹57.65 crore), Kannada (₹7.68 crore), and Malayalam (₹14.14 crore). The phenomenal success of *Pushpa 2* solidifies its position as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
