**POMONA, CA** – The Pomona Inland Valley Martin Luther King Jr. Project will host its 43rd annual free celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday, January 19th, at 6 p.m. The event, taking place at Pilgrim Congregational Church (600 N. Garey Ave., Pomona), will feature renowned researcher Joy DeGruy, author of “Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome,” as the keynote speaker.
Attendees can expect a diverse program including the presentation of the Youth Social Justice Student and Zennie Cummings Community Support awards, performances by local artists, and a marketplace of vendors.
