**KASARAGOD, January 3, 2025** – The Kerala Pradesh Mahila Congress launched a major political campaign today, announcing an eight-month-long “Mahila Sahas Kerala Yatra” across the state. The initiative, aimed at strengthening the United Democratic Front (UDF) ahead of crucial local body and assembly elections, will begin tomorrow in Kasaragod and conclude in Thiruvananthapuram on September 30th.

MP Jebi Mather, state president of the Mahila Congress, revealed the plans at a press conference. The yatra, covering all 1,474 panchayats in Kerala, will feature seven phases of public outreach, focusing on engaging with women and children. Ms. Mather will lead the campaign, which she described as a significant resistance movement against the current Pinarayi Vijayan government, citing allegations of corruption, violence, and increasing atrocities against women and children.

AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal will inaugurate the yatra on January 4th. Mahila Congress leaders hailed the event as a historic undertaking, anticipating it will serve as a catalyst for societal transformation.
