**NEW DELHI, January 3, 2025** – Hyundai unveiled its Creta Electric SUV today, boasting a maximum range of 473 km, but facing stiff competition in a rapidly expanding segment. The Creta EV offers two battery pack options, however, these are smaller than those offered by rivals like the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara and even the Mahindra BE.6.

While the Creta’s starting price of Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) is competitive, its claimed range is among the lowest in its class, putting it behind competitors such as the Mahindra BE 6 (starting at Rs 18.90 lakh), Tata Curvv EV (Rs 17.49 lakh – Rs 21.99 lakh), and MG ZS EV (Rs 18.98 lakh – Rs 25.75 lakh). The Maruti e-Vitara, while yet to reveal its range, is expected to feature larger battery options.
